Transitioning to a Stay at Home Mom's Income Pt. 1

Ever since I can remember I've been working a full-time job, I started working when I was 16 years old at minimum wage and here I am, now almost 21, and I'm managing a restaurant. I love my job. It's fun, fast-paced, and I get to meet lots of new people who I otherwise never would have met. I also met my fiance Ryan when we both started working there almost 4 years ago. That's where this whole "stay at home mom income" thing starts.

Right around the same time we got engaged we also found out we were pregnant with a baby boy and we a due October 14th! Along with our first baby together he also has a son of his own who is 5 years old and I love him to death. we just got full custody of him and he will be living with us full time starting October 4th! So we are going to go from having no kids to having two children at the same time! Talk about a major life change! We already decided a long time ago that I should stay home with the boys, it's just what is the easiest thing to do during this crazy transition period. The plan is that I am going to keep working all the way up until I have baby Rilan, and then I'm not going to go back to work.

That being said, it is going to be a MAJOR income cut for us (more than half of our income) and I need to try to figure out a way to make money while I can stay home with the boys. If after 6 months I can't make this stay at home mom thing work then back to work I go because waiting any longer than that will take a toll on our goals and dreams for our life!

Basically, this blog is going to be a documentation of my journey from transitioning from a full-time mom to a stay at home mom who still makes money at home. I'll share every source of work I find and keep you updated on my income situation.

I really am optimistic about this and hopefully with a positive attitude I can accomplish everything I am hoping for!

I really hope you guys reading and coming back to see how I am doing, and hopefully eventually this blog will become a "How To" transition to an income at home instead of just me taking a leap of faith and hoping it works out for the best!
